Placental Type Alkaline Phosphatase in Lung Cancer Tissue

Abstract

|
A case of pulmonary carcinoma among 6 cases, suggesting ectopic synthesis of the placental type
i alkaline phosphatase in lung cancer tissue was reported. In the serum. of this patient, no such an iso￢enzyme was detected. The histologic study of cancer tissue revealed a poorly differentiated adenocar￢cinoma. Various enzymes other than alkaline phosphatase were also analysed with the tissues of this patient, but no particular changes could be observed.
